Peninsula HomePro is a locally owned home-inspection company dedicated to quality professional home inspections in the areas of South Eastern Virginia, Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown, Williamsburg, Poquoson, Virginia Beach, Smithfield, Gloucester, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Toano, and Isle of Wight. We have lived in this area for over 25 years and are familiar with the area and many of its idiosyncrasies. Our inspectors are highly trained, taking at least 20 hours of continuing education annually and working with specialists in many of the trades.
We believe that the inspection process is an educational experience and not a checklist of items which are or are not operational at that moment in time. We strongly encourage our clients to be active participants in the inspection process. This gives us the opportunity to walk around the property and discuss not only the black and white, but the gray areas as well. In many cases, by the end of the inspection, you know more about the home than the current homeowner.
Michael Myers, owner and founder, has been performing home inspections on a
full-time basis for over ten years. He limits his inspections to a maximum of two per day, striving for quality, not quantity. Michael Myers is a full member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), No.201833.
Peninsula HomePro provides reports that are individually written. Our reports have excellent detail and many of the issues are accompanied by a photograph. We try to show you what you can not see. We typically take about 75 - 100 pictures during an inspection, of which approximately 10–20 end up in the report, depending on the condition of the home. For your convenience, we e-mail your report in PDF format, with-in 24 hours. If you are visiting us from out of town and do not have access to a computer, a printed version of the report will be made available upon request.
